Hurricane Landing Campground is located near the eastern end of Sardis Lake's southern shoreline. The campground offers access to some of the best fishing on Sardis Lake.
Outdoor opportunities abound at Sardis Lake. Sardis is consistently ranked as one of the top crappie fishing locations in the country and is also popular for catfish and bass. Hunters will find deer, turkey, squirrel, waterfowl, and rabbit are plentiful in hunting areas around the lake.
Hurricane Landing campground offers 15 campsites for reservations. Each campsite has 50 amp electrical hookups and water hookups on each site. There is a flush restroom and shower building in the campground. The area also has a picnic shelter, playground, and a very popular boat launch with access to Sardis Lake.
Sardis Lake contains over 98,000 acres of land and water in Panola, Lafayette, and Marshall counties in the rolling hills of north Mississippi. Hurricane Landing Campground is surrounded by beautiful Osage Orange (Bodock) trees that add a unique character to this special place.
The city of Oxford, Mississippi and the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) are a twenty minute drive away, as is the historic town of Holly Springs and I-22.
From I-22 take the Hwy. 7 south exit at Holly Springs, MS. Follow Hwy. 7 south for approximately 18 miles and turn right onto Lafayette County Road 108 at Abbeville, MS. Follow county road 108 for approximately 4.5 miles to Hurricane Landing Recreation Area. From Hwy. 278 in Oxford, MS take the Hwy. 7 north exit and follow Hwy. 7 north for approximately 10.5 miles.
